HARM REDUCTION
The course is designed to introduce service providers, administrators and policy makers to the basic principles, philosophy and application of Harm Reduction.
This course will be of value to a broad range of practitioners / service providers, administrators and policy advisors / analysts interested in gaining a better understanding of Harm Reduction and of how to implement Harm Reduction policy and practice within their organizations and communities. ?If you wish to gain a better understanding of Harm Reduction and are considering implementing Harm Reduction policies and practices within your organization and community, this course will be of inestimable value to you. ?

INSTRUCTORS:
Dale Kuehl, MSW RSW
Dale is the Acting Addiction Discipline-in-Chief and Addiction Therapist with the Assessment & Rainbow Service Programs at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, working with LGBTTTIQ communities across Ontario; Instructor in the Undergraduate program at Ryerson University, School of Social Work; and a Harm Reduction Psychotherapist/Consultant in private practice in Toronto.
Barb Panter, BSW
Barb is currently a harm reduction worker at Queen West Community Health Centre in Toronto where she works primarily with homeless drug users. ?She has worked in harm reduction for over ten years in Toronto and in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. ?She obtained her BSW at the University of British Columbia.
